  Overcome the Objection - Car Salesmen working with Female Clients ...     


She said... "I do love the car but I wish it came in red".
He said ... "sorry this one only comes in blue, silver and black. How about we take a look at this other make and model that comes in red." She said "no, I don't like the other model." He shrugged his shoulder and his face took on a look that indicated that she was getting on top of his nerves. She thanked him for his time then left. She visited another dealer and her new sales man said ... "even though the manufacturer colors are blue, silver and black, we can arrange to have it painted in red at an additional cost. I will call and get the cost, color cards and turn around time for you so that we can start your paperwork right away."
She said ... "that sounds wonderful. Let's do it!"

Let's Talk Sales ... setting up your sales systems

We know that you went into business to make money.

We also know that in order to run a successful business, you’ve got to implement sales production systems.  

 

We strongly recommend that you start your sales production systems by setting up an ideal sales price (which is going to entail cost of goods plus your operational expense plus the margin that you want for your business).  You want to ensure that your prices are competitive and you also need to map out how many products you will need to sell in order to (a) break even and (b) generate profit.

 

Secondly, you want to map out a sales process to achieve your sales goal. Having determined the above break even and profit generation point, you now need to generate leads, create scripted presentations, prepare list of objections and answers, create order taking documents and set up payment processing systems among many others.

The $10 Bathroom Cleaning Promotion  - Sales Coaching a Cleaning Service Client

Excepts from my Sales Coaching Client session with AL Cleaning Services ...

AL: how else can I get more clients to book cleaning appointments?
Me: Ever thought about using the " appetizer approach" to marketing your cleaning business?
AL: No... what is that?
Me:  Well you target 15 houses in your subdivision/neighborhood. You promote your $10  Bathroom Cleaning Promotion (providing they sign up in advance).  When you
are there cleaning (that one bathroom), they will more than likely ask you about he additional cost to clean the other bathrooms in the house. Try to remember that most houses have either 2.5 or 3 full bathrooms. Also bear in mind that if your client live in a high rise building, you stand a very good chance of being referred by this client. After all, neighbors in a high rise building are literally a couple steps away from each other. Before you know it, one cleaning trip to a client living in a condo or apartment building could open up the doors to many more clients in the same building. Before you know it, this
"appetizer sales approach" as in your $10 Bathroom Cleaning Promotion becomes a "full house" cleaning job.
 AL:  well, well ... that is amazing, I can do that. You make it so easy for me to see how I can improve my client base and revenue.

If I am not sold on something, I can't sell it!

It's amazing listening to people who are trying to convince me to sell their products and services for them. At times, I feel like I really should listen to them so that I can analyse their presentation methods then sign them up for our SalesCoach2 Sales Coaching and Training sessions. Other times, I listen with one goal (and I mean just one single goal only). I listen to be educated, nothing else!

Here at SalesCoach2, we see Sales is an art (not science). With that being said, we also see sales people as artists painting their connections to selected products and services (through presentations) onto canvasses (their prospective clients). When you paint something onto a piece of canvass, some people can pick up on the intensity of each stroke of your paint brush. Others can feel the passion of your artistic presentation, connect with your color scheme and even the subject that you have chosen to represent in your painting.

Selling simply illustrated is also about you making a deep connection to a product or service through your own experiences. Having made that connection, it becomes easy for you to create a story that is unique to you because you are now sold on that product or service. According to SalesCoach2 Sales Trainer and Coach Dahlia Alie, "If you are not sold on a product or service, you can only sell it for a very short while if you are that lucky". It won't take long for people to sense the disconnection between you and the product or service you are presenting.

Now let's turn this scenario around. If I am not sold on something, I can't sell it. There are always going to be different strokes for different folks and so, while I may be passionate about our Sales Training and Coaching services, it does not mean that you should expect me to be passionate about selling coffee, auto parts or construction material because I have very little connection to them. But, if you are presenting these products or services to me, I am expecting to sense your passion, feel your positive energy and be intrigued to the point where I ask you questions.

If you are not sold on something, don't sell it!
